Ring cable terminal
Let’s get to know cable terminals KOA, KOE and KOV. Each of these terminals are designed for crimping on Cu multi-strand wires and they are made of galvanically tinned copper. KOA cable terminal is an example of a terminal without insulation and produced according to DIN 46234. It is in different sizes depending on the cross-section of the conductor from 0,1 ÷ 0,5 to 120 mm2. These cable terminals are made for screws in sizes from 2 up to 16. The manufacturer recommends an appropriate tool for crimping the given size of the cable connector e.g. cable connectors made for the wire with the cross-section 0,1 ÷ 0,5 need to be crimped with the help of such tools as: AE22-05, ETA66, whereas the cable terminals with the cross-section from 70-120 mm2 are crimped with the help of : EPZC300, EPZ300, GZ300, HRZ300, PRZ240, GO300, HR300, GU120, HR100-U, PR240. Both KOE and KOV are additionally reinforced with polyamide insulation. Tubular part of KOE is done according to DIN 46234 and has thermal resistance to temperatures from -40°C to +125°C. KOV cable terminal is also thermal resistant and done according to DIN 46237.
Cable end-sleeves
Among cable end –sleeves we can distinguish such products as: TA, TE, TP and TV. They are all designed for Cu multi-strand wires and they are made of galvanically tinned copper. Cable end-sleeve TA is without insulation and is done according to DIN 46228 part .1. It is made for the wire with the conductor cross-section from 0,5 mm2 up to 185 mm2. Its equivalent with insulation is TE, which is also more thermal resistant.
