ERKO range of products offer covers various types of cable connectors, and made on special request of the Client depending on its needs. Connectors can be either aluminum, copper, and aluminum-copper type. The following article characterizes copper connectors.
Standard copper cable connectors manufactured by ERKO are covered in galvanized tin, there is also the possibility of buying a range in the non-tinned version. Cu tubular terminals and connectors are designed for crimping on copper single and multi-stranded cables. They are made according to PN or DIN norms. In the case of Cu cable ends you can purchase a traditional or additionally, in accordance with the standard DIN – this is an issue related to the tubular part. Both types find its application, for connecting wires in the switchboards or connecting cables to the busbars.
In both cases, the combination of this type should not entail risks associated with mechanical stress. In the case of the type conforming to the DIN standard, there is a possibility to create a stable and at the same time a reliable electrical connection of two cables of the same or of different cross-section.
