Only using the proper cable lugs and cable connectors and recommended crimping tools available in the ERKO offer you can be sure that the connection is of high quality. Apart from ring terminals, spade terminals, pin terminals, cable end-sleeves and receptacles and tabs ,we have also tubular terminals and connectors Cu. Read to find out more about them.
Tubular cable lugs Cu are commonly used to terminate copper wires. They are also used in connections with busbars and terminal devices , which increases the safety and durability of the connection. For multi-strand copper wires we recommend tubular cable lug KCS, which is made of galvanically tinned copper. The wire cross-section ranges from 2,5 to 400 mm2. Tubular cable lug KCS 45 is also designed for multi-strand copper wires. The wire cross-section in case of this cable lug is from 8 to 400 mm2. Bear in mind that for every cable lug you have to choose a proper crimping tool. These tools include: hand presses, hydraulic presses and battery powered presses.
An example of a narrow cable lug is KCZ. It has a narrow contact part which makes the installation easier. Special plastic treatment forms the contact surface . If you haven’t found the right cable lug or cable connector, which meets all your requirement when it comes to the size, remember that we can produce cable lugs in other dimensions than those listed in the tables.
Tubular cable lug KCL is made according to DIN 46235. A non-tinned version of this cable lug is available on request.
