Cable connectors and tubular ERKO lugs are a modern alternative to crimping technology for fitting cable terminals and tubular connectors.
The design of these connectors uses breakable bolts, which allow the use of one cable connector or terminal for various types and cross-section of cables, affecting the speed, reliability and ergonomics of assembly
Breakable bolts, break up at a certain point of their tightening (no need to use a torque wrench). The screw is formed as a series of grooves provided on a common core. The design ensures correct bolt snap for a particular cross-section of the vein. This solution of the screw design allows the use of the electrical connector for a wide range of cross-section (construction) cable wires. Each tightening of the screws with the same torque (thanks to the special grooves) provides repeatable assembly which affects the reliability of the connection. Another advantage in the body coupling is the place of cable interface is the helix that allows to break the oxidised surface of the insulated wire. Power plants and wiring utilities that use screw connectors, achieve savings in stock-keeping (just order eg. 2 types of cable connectors for the warehouse instead of eg. 10). The choice of connection technology using screw terminals and connectors eliminates assembly errors, accelerates assembly, easier installation (small tightening wrench ensures easy access even in the most difficult places of assembly).
