The simplest crimping tools are hand crimping tools – presses
Hand presses for crimping in the assortment offered by ERKO can be both with inbuilt dies or with exchangeable dies. In the group of manual hand presses offered by the manufacturer the most popular crimping tool is the universal hand press PR 33. With the help of this tool it is possible to crimp terminals with and without insulation with the cross-section from 0,5 to 6 mm2. This press is also available in a kit that includes 5 sets of easily exchangeable dies. It is also equipped with the ratcheting mechanism that enables easy crimping with little force used. Press PR 50 is used for crimping tubular terminals Cu on wires with the cross-section from 6 to 50 mm2.
Hand press T 10 is equipped with non-exchangeable dies. It is designed to press cable end-sleeves without insulation TA and with insulation TE and TV with the cross-section from 0,5 to 10 mm2.
Crimping tools – battery powered hydraulic presses
ERKO offers his clients different battery powered hydraulic presses e.g. EPZC 300 and EPZ 300. EPZC is equipped with flip top head and with exchangeable dies. The work with this tool is much easier thanks to automatic off switch ending operation cycle after a proper crimping is complete , electronic record of operation cycle, automatic pressure control and efficient lithium-ion battery. This tool also has a flip top head rotatable by 330° . Battery powered press EPZ 300 is also equipped with exchangeable dies and a head rotatable by 270°. It has similar functions to the previously mentioned tool for example: electronic control and record of crimping cycle accuracy, automatic off switch ending operation cycle after a proper crimping is complete.
Hydraulic presses
An example of a hydraulic press is HRZ 300 with exchangeable dies and designed for electrical works of average intensity. It has also a flip top head rotatable by 180°.
