The hand crimping tools produces by ERKO are made with exchangeable dies or with permanent dies. The most commonly chosen hand press, is the universal hand press PR 33, which is also available with sets of dies in functional case. Thanks to this, it is possible to crimp terminals with and without insulation to 6 mm2 and cable end-sleeves to 35 mm2. The work is easily performed thanks to the ratcheting mechanism that enables easy crimping with little force used. Another example of a hand press is for example T 10 hand press, which is equipped with non-exchangeable dies. It is designed to press cable end-sleeves without insulation TA and with insulation TE and TV to 10 mm2.The form of crimping is square.
