Hydraulic tools offered by ERKO include many products for crimping and cutting. The most commonly used tools are presses. With the help of this tools you can make a reliable cable connection with crimped on the end connector; this is a very safe and durable way to connect the electrical wire and the connector. Cable terminals and connectors offered by ERKO may be of different kinds (ring, cable end-sleeves, tubular, etc.) and of different sizes.
Hydraulic tools – examples of presses
Press HRZ 300 – is equipped with a head rotatable by o 180° ;it is designed for electrical works of average intensity. It works with exchangeable dies type : ZA, ZE, ZT, ZF and ZS, thanks to this solution you can crimp many different kinds of terminals with or without insulation for example : ring terminals on wires with the cross-section from 10-120 mm2, cable end-sleeves on the wire with the cross-section from 25-185 mm2, tubular Cu on wires with the cross-section from 6-300 mm2 and tubular Al with the cross-section from 16-240 mm2. Additionally with the help of this press you can make a round forming of Al sector conductors on wires with cross-section from 16-240 mm2. The press HRZ 300 weights 4,5kg and its working pressure is 530 bar with the force of 66,6 kN.
Press HR 100-U – is not equipped with rotatable head .Its efficiency is also lower. It is used for crimping of the same types of terminals but on wires with the cross-section to 185 mm2 with cable end-sleeves and 120 mm2 with other types of terminals. It works with dies of different kind e.g.: UA, UE, UT and UF.
Press HR 300 is designed for crimping of terminals and connectors on wires with a huge cross-section. It has rotatable head and it allows efficient work – 2 hydraulic circuits:
fast access (low pressure) and working (high pressure). HR 300 works with dies type: OA, OE, OT and OF. In addition to crimping of terminals on wires with the cross-section up to 300 mm2, it can be also used for punching hole in steel band with the help of OK die.
