All cable cutter both Al and Cu can handle both single and multi- strand conductors. What are the differences between them? The most important issue is the outer diameter of the cut wire. RC 5 can be used for cutting wires with the outer diameter to 5 mm, RC 13 to 13 mm, and RC 54 to 54 mm.
The blade can tell you a lot about the tool. In cable cutter designed for bigger outer diameters this blade must be really durable. In case of some tool there are additional advantages of using them for example cutting without deformation or ratchet mechanism that makes the work easier.
