Hydraulic tools are used for electrical works of average and high intensity. For average intensity works hydraulic hand presses are used, and for high intensity works it is recommended to use hydraulic heads that are compatible with the aggregates and with hydraulic pump
Hydraulic tools – presses
Hydraulic presses are more efficient and more comfortable than hand crimping tools . It is not without significance that with the help of these tools you can crimp larger sizes of terminals.
Press HRZ 300 can crimp terminals and connectors: ring to 120 mm2, cable end-sleeves to do 185 mm2, tubular Cu to 300 mm2 and tubular Al to 240 mm2. Additionally it can be also used for round forming of Al sector conductors to 240 mm2. It is very comfortable to work with this tool, thanks to the flip top rotatable head. Another press is a hydraulic press HR 300. It is used for crimping the same types of terminals and connectors as the previously mentioned product but it can be also used for flat forming of Al sector conductors, with the help of OR die from 25 to 120 mm2; it is also used for punching holes in steel band. There are few advantages of this tool namely : rotatable head and it allows efficient work – 2 hydraulic circuits: fast access (low pressure) and working (high pressure) and relatively high force in comparison to other tools like this which is 98 kN.
Hydraulic tools – heads
Hydraulic tools designed for works of high intensity are the hydraulic heads.All of the heads produced by ERKO are compatible with hydraulic pump H 800 and the aggregates AH 100, AH 500 and 550. Hydraulic head type GZ 300 is suitable for terminals and connectors : ring to 120 mm2, cable end-sleeves to 185 mm2, tubular Cu to 300 mm2 and tubular Al to 240 mm2. This hydraulic head is also used for round forming of Al sector conductors to 240 mm2. Low weight of the head and the force of 79,2 kN with the working pressure of 630 bar makes the work with this tool a real pleasure.
