Hydraulic crimping tools so called presses are designed for electrical works of average intensity or for intensive works. The press HRZ 300 is an example of a hydraulic crimping tool. It is designed for crimping of ring terminals with the maximal cross-section of 120 mm2, cable end-sleeves with and without insulation to 185 mm2, Al tubular terminals to 240 mm2 and Cu tubular terminals to 300 mm2, and for round forming Al sector conductors to 240 mm2. This press is equipped with flip top head rotatable by 180°. The force used by this press is 66,6 kN and the working pressure is 530 bar.
Another example of such tools is hydraulic press HR 300. This tool can press the same terminals and connectors as the press HRZ 300, but with this press it is also possible to punch holes in steel band, thanks to OK die. The press has two hydraulic circuits: fast access (low pressure) and working (high pressure).
Crimping tools – pneumatic presses
In the offer of products by ERKO you can also find pneumatic presses PP8 and PP19. Press PP8 is designed for crimping of ring, spade, pin, tubular terminals, receptacles and tabs with and without insulation on cables with cross-section to 25 mm2. The press works with exchangeable heads: PPH 11, PPH 12 and PPH 13. It is also designed for cutting Cu multi-strand wires with PVC insulation up to 25 mm2. The cycles’ speed is 50 /min. Press PP 19 is also used for the same terminals, and for cutting Cu multi-strand wires up to 25 mm2. The speed of cycles is 50 /min. The PP 19 is used for the same terminals.
