Crimping tools for crimping cable terminals on wires with the large cross-section

Crimping tools can be divided into mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic tools. Choosing the right crimping tool is very important if you want to have a durable connection for the whole service period. For installation works of low intensity and for cable terminals in smaller sizes we usually choose the hand presses. Let us consider which crimping tool we should choose in case of  the cable terminal for the wire cross-section over 150 mm2.

Crimping tools for the wire cross-section over 150 mm2:

  1. Battery powered hydraulic press EPZC 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 240 mm2. Force-  79,2 kN.
  2. Battery powered hydraulic press EPZ 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 240 mm2. Force- 67 kN.
  3. Hydraulic press HRZ 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors  Cu from 6 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 240 mm2. Force- 66,6 kN.
  4. Hydraulic head GZ 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 240 mm2. Force- 79,2 kN.
  5. Hand press PRZ 240 – for  cable end-sleeves from  25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors  Cu from 6 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to  240 mm2.
  6. Hydraulic press HR 100 – U – cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2. Force – 47 kN.
  7. Hydraulic head GU 120 –  for cable end-sleeves from  25 to 185 mm2. Force –  80 kN.
  8. Hand press PR 240 – for cable end-sleeves from  25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 240 mm2.
  9. Hydraulic press HR 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 to 300 mm2. Force -98 kN.
  10. Hydraulic head GO 300 – for cable end-sleeves from 25 mm2 to 185 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Cu from 6 mm2 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al from 16 mm2 to 300 mm2. Force- 98 kN.
  11. Hydraulic head GU 300 – for tubular terminals and connectors Cu with the wire cross-section from 6 mm2 to 300 mm2, tubular terminals and connectors Al with the wire cross-section from 16 mm2 to 300 mm2. Force –  112 kN.
  12. Hydraulic head GU 625 –  for tubular terminals and connectors  on wires and cables with the cross-section from 300 mm2 to 625 mm2. Force –  190 kN.
