Ring cable terminal are the most often chosen products in our offer. Cable terminals KOA, KOE or KOV are made of galvanically tinned copper and they are made for crimping on Cu multi-strand wires. They are produced in variety of sizes and they are present in the work of many installers.
Ring cable terminal KOA
KOA is an example of a cable terminal without insulation that is made according to DIN 46234. It is produced in variety of sizes depending on the cross-section of the conductor for example:
- for the cross-section from 0,1 ÷ 0,5 mm2 for screw size 2, 2,5, 3,4,5 and 6, and the recommended crimping tools are for example AE22-05 and ETA66,
- for the cross-section from 0,5 ÷ 1 mm2 for screw size 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 – recommended crimping tools are for example PR33, A22-2, A11-6, RA16,
- for the cross-section from 4 ÷ 6 mm2 for screw size 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12, recommended crimping tools are for example: PR33, A11-6, RA16, ETA66,
- for the cross-section of 10 mm2 for the screw size 4, 5, 6, 8,10 and 12, recommended crimping tools are: EPZC300, EPZ300, GZ300, HRZ300, PRZ240, GO300,
- for the cross-section of 35 mm2 for screw size 6,8,10 and 12 with the recommended crimping tools such as: EPZC300, EPZ300, GZ300, HRZ300, PRZ240,
- for the cross-section of 120 mm2 for screw size 8,10,12 and 16 the recommended crimping tools are: EPZC300, EPZ300, GZ300, HRZ300.
Ring cable terminal KOE
Cable terminal KOE has insulation made of polyamide and it is thermal resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +125°C . It is produced with the utmost care and the tubular part is done according to DIN 46234. When it comes to sizes it is an equivalent of the KOA cable terminal. The sizes correspond to the 13 conductor cross-sections from 0,1 ÷ 0,5 mm2 to 120 mm2 for screw size from 2 to 16. Recommended crimping tools for some sizes are different , so it’s worth checking.
Ring cable terminal KOV
KOV terminal is slimmer than the previously mentioned cable terminals. It has a polyamide insulation, thanks to this solution its thermal resistance is greater with the temperatures from -40°C – +125°C. It is produced according to DIN 46237. The sizes correspond to three conductor cross-section:
- 0,5 ÷ 1 mm2 for screws 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8,
- 1,5 ÷ 2,5 mm2 for screws 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16,
- 4 ÷ 6 mm2 for screws 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
