Al cable connectors are made for crimping on aluminum wires. The manufacturer’s specifications define which connector is for which wire and they give the cross-sections of three different conductors: singe-strand sector wire (se), multi-strand round wire (rm) and multi-strand sector wire.
ALD cable connector
ALD is made for Al. single- and multi-strand wires. The manufacturer made them in accordance with DIN 46267 part .2. The sizes correspond to the wire cross-section from 25 mm2 to 300 mm2 for single-strand sector wire and from 16 mm2 to 625 mm2 for multi-strand round wire and multi-strand sector wire.
ALC cable connector
ALC is a thin-walled cable connector; it is also made for single- and multi-strand aluminum wires. The wire cross-section is from 16 to 240 mm2.
ALS tight reducing connector
Multi-strand aluminum wires can be tightly connected with the help of ALS reducing connector. With the help of this connector you can connect wires with different cross-sections from example: 625 mm2 with 300 mm2 or 300 mm2 with 150 mm2.
ALR reducing connector
Another connector that reduces the cross-section of the wire is an ALR reducing connector. In the wider part of the connector you can place the wire with the cross-section from 25 to 625 mm2, whereas in the narrower part – from 16 to 500 mm2.
