Cable terminal in shear off screw technology differs from the traditional cable terminal not only when it comes to mounting form – it has shear off screws. It is also worth mentioning that it is universal and the mounting is very fast. One cable terminal can be used for wires with different cross-sections and different structure of the conductor.
Mounting
The fast and quick form of installation can persuade the clients to choose this technology. The shear off screw must be mounted at the end of the wire with the help of ratchet handle POK ZS, which is equipped with wrench socket 6, 8, 10. Another useful tool is the holder for shear off screws UZS 1, which allows you to firmly hold the screw during tightening.
Examples of shear off screw terminals
Shear off screw terminal SKS is designed for the voltage of up to 36 kV. It can be used for aluminum wires: rm 16 – 300 mm2, re 16 – 95 mm2, sm 25 – 240 mm2, se 16 – 300 mm2, rmv 16 – 300 mm2 and copper wires : rm 16 – 300 mm2, sm 25 -240 mm2, 16 – 300 mm2.
Shear off screw terminal SKN for the voltage of up to 6 kV on Al wires with the cross-section: rm 16 – 240 mm2, sm 16 – 25 mm2, re 16 – 240 m2, se 16 – 240 mm2 and Cu wires with the cross-section: rm 10 – 240 mm2, sm 10 – 240 mm2, re 10 – 185 mm2.
