What is the system of crimping offered by ERKO?
With the help of the tool recommended by the manufacturer (manual, hydraulic or battery powered press) we crimp the connector or cable terminal on the wire. The connection is safe and durable, if the whole process is done according to the instructions. Connector or cable terminal must match the material that the wire is made of and the wire cross-section and the type of conductor. The next step is to choose the right form of crimping e.g. hexagonal , with the folding on the conductor, square, trapezoidal, oval or single indent. Then the insulation must be removed on such length that corresponds to the tubular part of the cable terminals or the throat in case of the connector.
You cannot perform crimping on wire that is covered with oxides or corrosive air raids, so first remove them. When everything is ready ,we can start crimping. First insert the wire to the tubular part of the cable terminal or the throat of the connector and with the help of the tool recommended by the manufacturer crimp the terminal or connector on the wire. The crimping is completed when the crimping dies come together or the leakage valve in the hydraulic pump works.
