KOA cable lug is available in many sizes that are suitable for the cross-section of wire from 0,1 – 0,5 mm2 to 120 mm2. The manufacturer indicates that the smallest size of the lug can be crimped with the help of such tools as: AE 22-05, ETA 66. With the cross-section from 0,5 to 1 mm2 and from 1,5 to 2,5 mm2 it is recommended to use: PR 33, A 22-2, A11-6, RA 16, PP 8 or PP 16. In order to crimp the largest sizes a more powerful tool with greater force is recommended for example: EPZC 300, GZ 300, HR 300, PR 240.

Experienced installers do it almost automatically., but for those who are new in the profession we would like to remind what are the stages of crimping. After choosing the right terminal it is vital to choose the right for of crimping. Then, remove the insulation from the wire on the appropriate length and clean it of corrosion or oxide. Finally place the cable in the waist of the connector and crimp it using the right tool. The crimping process is completed when the crimping dies connects.
