Busbar bending is possible, but requires using special tool called bending machines or busbar processing stations, which can also bend busbars.
There are two types of bending machines: axial and lateral. Axial bending of Al and Cu busbars is possible by axial bender HSK 5010. Maximum busbar width in the range of 20-50 mm and a thickness of 3 to 10 mm. Working pressure of the device is 630 bars, and angle range 0-90 °. The device is equipped with electric sensor (limit switch) enabling reapetable bending. HSK 5010 is also equipped with spacer insert for rotatable handle, for busbars of thickness up to 5 mm and adjustable busbar width bracket. Bender machine is compatible with hydraulic units AH 550 and AH500.
Lateral bending of Al and Cu busbars allows lateral bender HGP 5010. Busbar should have a width of 20-50 mm and a thickness of 5 to 10 mm. A possible bending angle is in the range of 0 to 90 °. Bender is equipped with an bending insert and a set of rollers. It works not only with the hydraulic unit AH 500 and 550, but also with the hydraulic pump H 800.
Busbar bending is one of the operations which can be maid on busbar processing machines SH 600 and SH 400. These busbar processing stations allow bending busbars with dimensions of 12×125 mm.
