Cutting
For cutting busbars made of aluminum and copper with the width from 30 – 150 mm, and thickness from 5 – 12 mm you can use the busbar cutter HC 125. The force of this tool is 190 kN. It works with hydraulic pump H 800 and aggregates for example AH 100, AH 500. It is very important not to deform the busbar while cutting and to cut without burr. Bending

The busbar can be bent axially („propeller”) or laterally. For axial bending of busbars with the width from 20 to 50 mm and thickness from 3 to 10 mm it is recommended to use the axial bender HSK 5010. It is equipped with electric sensor enabling repeatable bending. In order to perform lateral bending a lateral bender HGP 5010 should be used; it is for the busbars with the width from 20 to 50 mm and thickness from 5 to 10 mm. It is equipped with bending insert and a set of rollers for copper busbars. In the assortment of ERKO you can also find a bender-puncher , which can bend busbars with the width up to 125 mm and the thickness up to 10 mm. Using the same tools it is also possible to punch round holes with the diameter from 6,6 to 21 mm and oval holes with the diameter from 8,5 to 21 mm.
Complex stations for busbar processing
The optimal solution for busbar processing would be using busbar processing stations. ERKO has got several stations for example: SH 300,SH 600 and SH 800PLC. The type of works that can be performed on a given station depends on its exact specifications. SH 300 is made for cutting, punching holes , bending, busbar offsetting and inserting of nuts in aluminum and copper busbars with the thickness from 5 to 12 mm and the width from 30 to 125 mm. Working with this station is easier thanks to an electronic bending angle sensor, a bumper with a scale and body height adjustment. The same kind of works can be performed on SH 600, SH 400 and SH 800 PLC. Modern solutions allow for greater precision of work with SH 800 PLC station. This station is equipped with an electronic bending angle sensor, that can be easily programmed. Linear encoders, enable positioning with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. A far greater precision of height adjustment of hole punching head is also a vital advantage of this station. SH 800 PLC has a built-in efficient hydraulic drive, so there is no need to connect a hydraulic unit.
