Among ring cable lugs we can distinguish three types:
– KOA
– KOE
– KOV.
Each of these cable lugs is designed for multi-strand copper wires . Cable lugs KOE and KOV have polyamide insulation , which means that they are highly resistant to high temperatures. Their thermal resistance is -40°C to +125°C. When choosing the cable lug always bear in mind the form of crimping that is suitable for this cable lug and choose the right crimping tool. Cable lug KOA is the most famous representative of cable lugs without insulation. Thanks to its properties it can adapt to thirteen cross-sections.
Thanks to the fact that the cable lugs are made of galvanically tinned copper the phenomenon of overheating of conductors and wire insulation is significantly reduced. In order to crimp the cable lug you should you a proper crimping tool.
